| Comment | Porphyritic basaltic andesite with microphenocrysts of plagioclase, olivine, aguaite and minor Fe-Ti oxide. Xenocrysts are quartz qith thin or no resorption coronas, completely resorbed plagioclase ith clear overgrowth rims, and a minor proportion of sieve-textured orthopyroxene with clear overgrowth rims. The groundmass is crytocrystalline and is composed of plagioclase, olivine, clinopyroxene and Fe-Ti oxides. Olivine is variably altered to amphibole. |
