| Comment | Tuff of Reds Meadow. The sanidine was separated from a sample of the welded ignimbrite and is almost certainly contaminated with older material. The apparent age is a maximum age for the unit only. The age is cited by Huber and Rinehart 1967 along with an age of 1.4 m.y. measured on another bulk sample of the loosely welded ignimbrite collected near 427f R.W. Kistler, personal communication, 1965. Berkeley analysis KA1233. |
