| Comment | Beacon Hill, Norden, California [SE1/4, NW1/4, SE1/4, SE1/4, Sec. 17, T17N, R15E], southeast side of hill. Upper and lwer phases of the Nine Hill Tuff. Devitrified tuff contains large quartz xenocrysts and granitic lithic fragments. Tuff is 25 m thick. Lithophysal zone about 7m above vitrophyre; overlain by conglomerate and about 20 m of quartz-biotite vitric unwelded buff tuff. Reference: Harwood, 1980 |
